The Gossip: Everything you need to know about the X Factor final

And the winner is...

ICYMI Matt Terry has won X Factor beating off Saara Aalto. But not all the judges thought it would be him vying for 2016's Christmas number one.

Earlier in the series Simon, Nicole, Sharon and Louis were all asked to secretly write who they thought would win and the results are interesting.

It was only Sharon who didn't think Matt would win, but she didn't think Saara would either. Instead she went for Relley C - who was sent home week in week three.

On the Honey...

Unsurprisingly none of the judges went for Honey G. But the biggest rapper from North Weezy has come out laughing. She's signed to SYCO - Simon Cowell's label - and will be releasing her first single next week.

But fans of the show have accused Simon of favoritism for allowing her to perform a solo song at the final - something none of the other previous contestants were allowed to do.

Her new single is called The Honey G show.

Could Matt actually get to number one?

When you've got Ed Sheeran writing your song, the chances are pretty high. It's the first non-cover X Factor winners single since Shayne Ward's That's My Goal in 2005. Simon Cowell will be hoping to do a lot better than last year's number nine offering from Louisa Johnson.

And while some fans wish Ed hadn't written the single, co-writer Amy Wadge - who also penned Thinking Out Loud - is pretty positive.
