Borussia Dortmund win 8-4 - hats off to the person doing their Twitter feed
Sometimes football can get a bit silly.
On Tuesday night, Borussia Dortmund beat Legia Warsaw 8-4 in the highest-scoring Champions League game in history.
In the age of clubs live-tweeting matches, spare a thought for the person in charge of Dortmund's official Twitter feed. Their fingers must have disappeared in a haze of flames and smoke as they frantically typed out updates as 12 goals rained in at the Westfalenstadion.
At one point, there were seven goals in 22 first-half minutes - just think of the pain that person and their keyboard must have been going through.
Here's how the madness unfolded:
Kick-off: Hoping for a nice and steady 2-0 here.
10' - Dortmund 0-1 Legia. That's not in the script.
17': Dortmund 1-1 Legia. Shinji Kagawa to the rescue
18': Dortmund 2-1 Legia. Kagawa again! Just 76 seconds later.
20': Dortmund 3-1 Legia. This is getting out of hand.
24': Dortmund 3-2 Legia. Gary Neville would be having kittens over this defending.
29': Dortmund 4-2 Legia. 'Tor' is German for 'goal'. This is an absolute tor-fest.
32': Dortmund 5-2 Legia. Don't blink.
Half-time: Dortmund 5-2 Legia. Take a breather. The rest of the internet is showing you some love.
52': Dortmund 6-2 Legia. The second half managed to go a whole seven minutes without a goal.
57': Dortmund 6-3 Legia - Do you believe in miracles? The comeback is ON.
Please, please not another goal!
83': Dortmund 7-4 Legia. Mind blown. Soul destroyed.
90+2': Dortmund 8-4 Legia. Enough now. Mercifully, the final whistle comes.
