This guy is getting top husband points.

Like most of the country at the moment, Nina Gibson is really into Love Island – so her husband curated an incredible surprise for her.

When she got home at the end of the day, she found he had turned their living room into a VIP Love Island departure lounge.

Nina’s husband and son greeted her at the door dressed as pilots, with a big sign reading ‘VIP CHECK-IN’. She found that a red carpet had been rolled out, a suitcase full of exciting goodies had been packed for her, and Love Island was already on the TV.

As you can imagine, people were really into it.

Even Iain Stirling – who narrates the show – was very impressed.

And if you’re wondering what’s in the suitcase, it’s SPF lip balm, sun tan lotion, a snorkel… basically the ultimate holiday kit.

Plus, now he can hog the TV when the World Cup starts - a genius plan if ever we heard one.

But of course, this isn’t the first time a superfan has gone above and beyond (or over the top, in some cases) for their favourite show.

The guy who recreated ‘The Ellen Show’ with an Ellen impersonator

This is totally normalLucas Jacobiak/YouTube

This is… not strange at all?

A YouTuber and 'motivational speaker' called Lucas Jakóbiak wanted to fulfil his dream of being a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

So, last year, he decided to finally do it – but instead of going through all the faff of getting an agent to contact the show’s producers, he just went ahead and got himself a fake Ellen.

Lucas and his fake Ellen – who in real life is a woman called Beata – got together on a recreated set in Poland with replica Ellen mugs, the signature white sofas, and a (not very convincing) laugh track.

Frankly, anyone who goes to this much effort, and, let's be honest, expense, deserves to be a guest on the real show.

The Friends fan who spent two years building a tiny model of Monica’s apartment

It's exactly what it sounds like.

We have a bit of a love-meh relationship with Friends. While we still get endless use out of Joey gifs on Tinder (“how you doin’?”), the show’s questionable jokes and lack of diversity have meant that it's aged pretty badly.

But the most unbelievable thing about Friends was by far how nice all of their apartments were. They were in their mid-20s, some of them out of work or on minimum wage – as if they could afford to live in New York’s fashionable Chelsea neighbourhood!

Which possibly explains why some people have become obsessed with the Friends flats.

In 2014, a Brazilian artist called Bruna Conforto created a miniature replica of Monica’s apartment – a project that took her two years.

“Friends is one of my favourite TV shows and, like any fan, I’d like to live in an apartment like Monica’s,” the 23-year-old said at the time. “As this is not possible, I decided to make my own using only paper, glue and ink.”

This pretty much sums up the millennial experience, doesn’t it?

The woman who turned her house into the Star Trek Enterprise

Why watch your favourite TV show when you can live in it?

Line Rainville, from Quebec in Canada, was so into Star Trek that she transformed her basement into a replica of the Enterprise in 2014.

We'll be honest, she has the whole place down - from the furniture to the consoles, and, of course, the life-size cardboard cut-outs of Leonard Nimoy and William Shatner (aka Spock and Captain Kirk).

And she's still working on it - just a few months ago she added a homemade version of the ceramic lizard you can see on the walls of the show's set.

Needless to say, we're impressed.

The Harry Potter fan who built a massive Diagon Alley

Looks like this post is no longer available from its original source. It might've been taken down or had its privacy settings changed.

We know there are some massive Harry Potter fans out there - but even with such a high bar, this takes dedication.

At the end of last year, Jonathan Chambers, a dad in Seattle, built an entire replica of Diagon Alley. And after he was finished, the fantasy street was open to the public - including over Christmas.

What a nice idea.

We love TV (and cinema) - but even for us, these superfans are next level. And for that we salute them.
