It was another big weekend in the Premier League, which kicked off on Friday night with a bar-setting result for Leicester City as they beat Southampton 9-0, equalling the record for the biggest ever win in the Premier League.

1. Did Bertrand see it coming?

Ryan Bertrand was sent off in the first half. The conspiracy theorists out there may feel he had a premonition that it wouldn't be their day.

Meanwhile, spare a thought for this Leicester fan who was double booked on game night.

Can he claim to officially be the first to use this joke though?

That humiliation for Southampton puts them in unwanted company. The only other side to have lost to such a deficit in the Premier League is Ipswich Town, who shipped nine against Manchester United in 1995.

Looks like this post is no longer available from its original source. It might've been taken down or had its privacy settings changed.

On the subject of Ipswich…

2. The best goal celebration gif in the canon?

Just a moment of appreciation for this goal celebration gif please…

3. Early bath for Becks

He’s shared a tub with some greats in his time – from Cristiano Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane, to Ryan Giggs and Roy Keane. We wonder where Courteney Cox and Modern Family’s Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet rank in that list.

4. Milner does his bit to help cure insomnia

These really are the fascinating insights into a player's personal life that we live for. The man's dedication to the ‘boring James Milner’ bit truly is admirable. Never breaks face.

5. Mo learns the lingo, la

Meanwhile, Milner’s Liverpool team-mate Mo Salah once more endeared himself to his adoptive city with a penalty that earned a crucial win for Liverpool at home against Tottenham. He has also been putting some time into his cultural education.

6. Plane ignorance

Everton were flying high against the Seagulls on Saturday, until they sought to undo their good work in the final stages with a catastrophic nosedive. Love hurts Roger.

7. Football is brilliant, part 500,865

Nice work from the people at Celtic Park for accommodating this young lad and other fans with autism.

8. Mixed reviews on Kanye’s album

Kanye dropped his latest album, Jesus is King, over the weekend and the reviews suggest that not everyone has been fully on board with its direction.

We, for one, are big fans of the album artwork at least.

And speaking of things with a religious bent...

9. Christian rewards Lampard's faith

In his first Premier League start since August, ‘Captain America’ Christian Pulisic really showed his worth to the boss at the weekend, with a perfect hat-trick (left-foot, right-foot and header) to beat Burnley 4-2.

Putting three past Burnley’s keeper Nick Pope also opened up the possibility for this line to be used, for which we are thankful:

PS In case you’re wondering, one of these goals did come from a cross too. Satisfying.
