Erling Haaland's dad has told him off on Twitter

Did James Maddison jinx Leicester? Which club apparently don't want Haaland in? And why might Sheffield United want a summer season?

Another exciting weekend of football included a win for Tottenham Hotspur in the north London derby, Norwich being relegated and Liverpool dropping points at home for the first time this season.

Also, Erling Braut Haaland had quite an eventful one.

But first...

1. Tributes to Jack Charlton

Former Leeds defender, England World Cup winner and Republic of Ireland manager Jack Charlton sadly passed away over the weekend. Tributes poured in from around the world.

He still has a strong legacy in Ireland.

The Republic reached the quarter-finals that year – their best ever performance in an international tournament.

2. Vard to call

The good news for Leicester is that Jamie Vardy continued his march towards the Golden Boot on Sunday with a 23rd-minute goal against Bournemouth. The bad news is that, after this tweet had been sent, their Champions League chances were seriously jeopardised when they had a man sent off and Bournemouth went on to score four goals of their own

Football is a strange old game, hey.

3. Putting in the haad yards

Erling clearly didn’t fall far from the tree. Alf Inge Haaland, ex Leeds-United defender, must be sick of living in his son’s shadow by now.

Although Alfie may not want to take credit for another recent viral tweet.

The video in question appears to show Haaland Jr being thrown out of a nightclub in his native Norway.

His dad's response?

4. Fair-weather fans

Sheffield United beat Chelsea 3-0 on Saturday to keep their drive for Europe going. They love playing in the summer.

No-one more than striker David McGoldrick – a true late summer bloomer.

Flea was a big fan of the performance.

5. They all count Raheem

Raheem Sterling bagged a hat-trick on Saturday as Manchester City thrashed Brighton 5-0. He collected his third in unusual fashion, as the ball bounced off the back of his head past Mat Ryan.

6. Easy for you to say Kammy

Chris Kamara might have hoped that his difficulty with Famara Diedhiou’s name had gone unnoticed on Saturday… Luckily for him, the Bristol City striker was more than willing to help him out for next time.

7. Chilled out entertainer first. Golfer second. Maybe footballer third.

Gareth Bale continuing to endear himself to Real fans. In May he pulled off a golf pose after scoring in training - a response to criticism he spends too much time on the course. This was how he reacted after spending Friday night on the bench as Real Madrid faced Alaves.

8. Man Utd are on a run

Manchester United picked up another win on Thursday, beating Aston Villa. That puts them top of the ‘since-February’ Premier League. Back on their perch?
